EFFINGHAM, IL – March 19, 2020 – Given the current environment we find ourselves, we wanted to share some insights to the ongoing operations of The Equity.

The executive management staff had been developing action plans for the last two weeks under various
scenarios. Once the State of Illinois closed schools, we transitioned The Equity to operations only and asked any employee who can work from home to do so through March 27, 2020.

The Equity’s leadership are in constant contact, fielding new questions and connecting with industry partners and peers to identify and implement best practices.

Our trade associations are actively engaged with decision makers at Federal, State and Local levels conveying the national security aspects of production agriculture and they are keeping us informed daily of any new developments.

The Equity’s board of directors are being kept abreast and are supportive of the actions we have taken.

While this is indeed a stressful time due to the uncertainty, it is important we take these measures to protect our employees, customers and communities.

From a Spring planting season perspective, at this time, The Equity is well positioned to meet the needs of our customers. Supplies for the most part are in place and we are staging them at our locations for your consumption. As conditions allow, we intend to resume full staff levels to meet your demands for goods and services. Baring any unforeseen logistical constraints outside of our control, we are committed to achieving our shared objectives.

Even with reduced staffing levels, we continue to strive to serve you our valued customers however, we must do so in a fashion that limits any possible exchange of this communicable virus.

Therefore, we seek your assistance by implementing the following:

  • Plan and Communicate Ahead – If you have time sensitive needs for any of our products or services, please reach out to us by phone or text to schedule in advance. All contact information is available on our website – www.TheEquity.com

  • If you are coming to an Equity location or facility to load products, please communicate in advance and if possible, stay in your vehicle so we can load while maintaining the social distancing now being practiced.

  • If needing something from The Equity’s Hardware store, please call in advance and arrange curbside pickup.

  • Please use “My Farm Records”, also available on our website, to make payments on your account. This avoids the need to mail or drop off a payment and reduces the possibility of transmission.

  • If you have questions, concerns or recommendations, please visit our website and utilize our "Contact Us” tab to convey.

Stay Safe.
