Reports to

Feed & Hardware Operations Manager

Salary

Commensurate with experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics

• Associates Degree in Agriculture or Business preferred
• Basic understanding of the feed industry and scheduling transportation
• Self-motivating personality as well as team building skills
• Demonstrates ability to interact effectively with management, employees, and customers
• Strong time management, administrative and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must possess valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities

1. Follow all safety and personnel policies
2. Ability to understand a P&L statement along with the KPI’s to navigate and exceed the annual budget
3. Directly supervise and evaluate all hardware store employees and feed routes trucks. Along with setting a schedule to deviate workflow
4. Keep up with overall appearance and housekeeping of the store, warehouse, interior and exterior
5. Provide employees with proper training to perform their jobs
6. Supervise in-store traffic building campaigns as well as on-line promotions, visual merchandising, and a high level of housekeeping throughout the store
7. Instill the operating culture to offer superior customer service
8. Working knowledge of our company software and computer system
9. Monitor daily sales reports
10. Accountable for inventory ordering, shipment, receiving and defective goods documents
11. Maintain and establish business relationships both internal and external
12. Maintain a thorough knowledge of competitive products, services, and market
13. Develop a marketing strategy to grow market share
14. Community engagement

Work Environment

The nature of the job may require extended hours

Physical Demands

The physical demands include lifting objects up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs and ladders.

Travel

The employee may be required to travel to other locations, conferences, educational opportunities and other job related activities.
