About the Position
The Equity is hiring for Feed Mill Production Personnel at our Effingham facility. The duties and responsibilities of this position include maintenance and housekeeping of the feed mill, daily inventory of ingredients, supplements and medications, as well as ensuring HACCP guidelines, Quality Standards and GMPs are followed for all feed manufactured.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics
- Experience in supply chain management or related field is preferred
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers, or regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, and customers.
- Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions dealing with several variables.
- P.C. Skills should include Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to gain a thorough knowledge of the feed mill automation software & company software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all established personnel and safety policies and procedures
- Follow all HACCP guidelines
- Responsible for Quality Standards and GMP’s of all feed manufactured
- Maintain daily inventory of medications, supplements, and ingredients
- Responsible for grinding, mixing, pelleting, and bagging all feed products
- Help customers in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner
- Responsible for maintenance and housekeeping of feed mill
- Be able to communicate in a professional manner to the customers, employees, and manager
Work Environment
The nature of the business may require extended hours. While performing the duties of the job, the employee occasionally works outside near moving mechanical equipment and may work in high, precarious places with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Noise level in work area is usually loud.
Travel
The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
