About the Position
The Equity is seeking a Feed Manufacturing Intern who is pursuing a B.S. at a four-year college/university with a major in Animal Science, Ag Business, Ag Engineering, and related fields. Candidates with strong communication, analytical, and manufacturing skills combined with previous animal science and manufacturing experience should apply.
The internship will expose students to the many facets of animal nutrition, feed manufacturing and livestock production. Internship learning experiences will include, but are not limited to:
- Execute projects to promote The Equity feed department production efficiencies
- Work with feed production teams to analyze data to improve quality and consistency of feed manufacturing
- Partner with the livestock team to identify ways to increase swine production efficiency through the feed manufacturing process
- Gain experience in day-to-day operations of animal feed production
- Increase understanding of the feed and livestock industry
- Develop customer service, team building, leadership, and organizational skills
- Participate in open houses, customer appreciation events, and internship program
