Altamont - Hardware Sales & Service (Part Time)
In the Hardware Sales & Service position, you will help in assisting customers with professionalism, organizing and staging orders, operating a forklift, and maintaining clean, well-stocked warehouse and retail areas. The role also supports team leads in day-to-day tasks and requires a basic knowledge of feed and hardware products.

Salary
$15-17 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all established personnel, safety policies and procedures
- Wait on customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Ability to organize orders, coordinate pickup times, and drive a forklift
- Keep items stocked in a neat and timely fashion
- Assist Bag Feed Specialist, Hardware Lead, and Hardware Manager in all assigned tasks.
- Ability to maintain a neat and organized warehouse
- Have a basic understanding of feed and hardware
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics
- High School Diploma or GED. A farm background or hardware experience is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with management and customers
- Possess excellent communication skills
Work Environment
The nature of the business may require extended hours. While performing the duties of the job, the employee occasionally works outside.
Physical Demands
The physical demands include lifting objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and climbing stairs and ladders.
Travel
The employee may be required to travel to other locations, conferences, educational opportunities and other job-related activities.
