Effingham - Credit Assistant
In the Credit Assistant position, you will manage customer accounts, process payments and statements, and oversee the online payment platform. Responsibilities include reconciling complex accounts, completing bank deposits, tracking overdue balances, and supporting end-of-month processing. The role also involves administering the credit policy set by the Board of Directors and maintaining records for special energy services.

Salary
$20 - $25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all established personnel and safety policies and procedures
- Manage customer accounts including processing payments and budget billing
- Complete daily bank deposits
- Assist with notifying and tracking overdue accounts
- Processing of customer statements
- Assist with end of month processing
- Maintain customer records for special services for Energy accounts
- Reconcile large complex accounts
- Process online applications, statements, and payments
- Manage online payment platform
- Accountable for administrating the credit policy established by the Board of Directors
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics
- Associate’s degree in business preferred
- Banking experience and an agricultural background with exposure to Ag-business is preferred
- Possess a self-motivating personality as well as team building skills, and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Must be detail oriented
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Duties of the job require confidentiality.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
Travel
The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
