Effingham - Energy Administrative Assistant


In the Energy Administrative Assistant position, you will provide customer service through accurate order processing and issue resolution while ensuring proper billing within company credit policies. Other responsibilities are, but are not limited to, supporting inside sales, preparing reports, maintaining exemption certificates, and assisting with energy inventory reconciliation.

Salary

$18-$22 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer service includes processing orders and resolution of customer complaints
  • Ensure that all products and services at the location are accurately billed and within the company credit policy
  • Assisting with inside sales, following up on leads, and working with existing customers promoting increased business
  • Prepare motor fuel reports and maintain federal and state exemption certificates
  • Aid in the reconciliation of energy inventory and maintain energy volume reports
  • Track and maintain records of all contract sales and leases for propane and refined fuel tanks.7. Pull data for company motor fuel sales tax reporting
  • Assist in departmental allocation of energy products used by the company
  • Follow all established personnel and safety policies and procedures
  • Inventory control, monthly reporting, and counting of inventory

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common data
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with management, employees, and customers
  • Has a self-motivating personality as well as team building skills
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Work Environment

The nature of the business requires extended hours.

Travel

The employee may be required to travel to other locations, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
