Martinsville - Grain Transportation Driver


As a Grain Transportation Driver, you will operate truck fleet as directed and complete all daily paperwork. Additionally, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance checks of the truck, report any problems with equipment, and help customers win a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner.

Salary

$21-$27 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all established personnel and safety policies and procedures
  • Operate truck fleet as directed
  • Completes all required paperwork daily
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance checks of the truck (pre-trip & post-trip)
  • Reports any problems with equipment under their control so maintenance activities may be performed
  • Helps customers in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Good driving record
  • Illinois commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a Class A License 
  • Excellent Customer Service and communication skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with management and customers
  • Self-motivating personality as well as team-building skills

Work Environment

While performing the duties of the job, the employee works near moving, mechanical equipment and in outside weather conditions; including exposure to fumes and airborne particles, grain dust and vibrations.  Occasionally climbs and works in high places and exposed weather elements.  Noise level in work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee may lift up to 50 pounds.

Travel

The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
