Effingham - Information Services ERP Help Desk
The Information Services ERP Help Desk serves as the primary support resource for employees using the company's ERP system and related technologies. This role assists users with system questions, troubleshooting, training, and process support while partnering with departments across the organization, with a primary focus on Agronomy and Hardware operations. The position also supports system improvements, technology projects, and on-site assistance at company locations as needed.

Salary

Key Responsibilities
- Follow all established personnel, information security, and workplace safety policies and procedures while handling company systems, data, equipment, and user requests
- Provide front-line support to employees using the company’s ERP system, including answering questions, explaining system processes, resolving access or transaction issues, and helping users complete their work accurately and efficiently
- Receive, document, prioritize, and track support requests; gather relevant details from users; communicate status updates; and ensure issues are resolved or escalated to the appropriate resource
- Develop a working understanding of business processes across the Company, with primary support emphasis on the Agronomy and Hardware departments and the systems they use
- Assist with user training, system testing, software updates, process documentation, and the creation or maintenance of support instructions and knowledge resources
- Collaborate with Information Services team members, software vendors, and employees in other departments to research problems, coordinate solutions, and improve the user experience
- Serve as a flexible member of the Information Services team by assisting with other departmental projects, assignments, and operational needs as priorities change
- Travel to other company locations when needed to provide on-site support, install or troubleshoot equipment, assist employees, or support system-related projects
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics
- An associate degree or higher in computer science, information systems, accounting, agriculture, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience supporting business systems may be considered in place of a degree
- Experience in a help desk, technical support, or customer service environment
- Working knowledge of computers, business software, hardware, and basic network concepts, along with the ability to learn and support an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
- Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and common business transactions, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, purchasing, and general ledger activity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate issues, identify likely causes, test solutions, and escalate complex problems when appropriate
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively with employees across departments and locations
Work Environment
The nature of the job requires extended hours.
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
Travel
The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
