About the Position
The Equity is seeking Agronomy Interns who are pursuing a B.S. degree(s) at a four-year college/university with a major in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture Business, or related fields. Candidates should have strong communication skills, with the capacity to pay attention to detail, think analytically, and work independently.
The internship will expose students to the many facets of ag retail, which include, but are not limited to:
- Obtain a CDL and other licensing as needed
- Work with locations to carry out day-to-day operations
- Complete a research project, analyzing the results, and present the findings
- Scout fields for weeds, insets, and diseases
- Work with salesmen to learn about their careers
- Participate in weekly supervisor meetings, agronomy training sessions, field days, and internship development program
- Build agronomy product knowledge regarding seed, pests, seed treatments, adjuvants, micronutrients, chemicals, and fertilizer
