Feed as the major portion of the ration with additional forage to cattle. When fed as the sole ration, cattle must be adjusted to this feed in a step-wise manner by increasing the amount of forage in a time period of no less than two weeks. Typical feeding rate of this product is 2% to 3% of body weight with a maximum intake of 22 lbs. daily.
Do not allow animals to run out of feed. Provide adequate bunk space for each animal. Bunks should be well protected and well managed to prevent accumulation of fines, wet and moldy feed. Provide a source of fresh, clean water at all times.
In groups of cattle there are certain which can experience digestive disturbances from overeating feed. Weather changes, enterotoxemia, and poor feeding practices all can result in erratic feed consumption and can cause increase the incidence of digestive problems. Always follow directions for use and good animal health and feeding practices.
