FEEDING DIRECTIONS:

Begin feeding SPORTMiX® Puppy Small Bites dry or moistened at 3 to 4 weeks of age or as soon as your puppy begins chewing on solid foods. To serve moistened, combine 1½ cups of SPORTMiX® Puppy Small Bites with 1 cup of warm water. Mix until well moistened and soft. Allow your puppy to eat 4 times a day for about 15 to 20 minutes until he reaches 3 months of age. From 3 to 6 months of age, feed your puppy all he will eat 3 times a day. Gradually reduce feedings to a single daily feeding from 6 months of age to a year. Use the chart above as a guide. Keep food available at all times for pregnant or lactating dogs. Food intake could increase 2 to 4 times during lactation. Remember, these amounts are averages and will vary depending on breed, size and activity of your puppy. Have clean, fresh water available at all times.

For your pet’s best health, see your veterinarian regularly.

Transition Instructions

When transitioning your pet to a new food, we recommend a gradual introduction of the new formula over a 7 day period. For pets with sensitivities, extend the transition period to 10 to 14 days. Start by adding a small amount of your pet’s new food to his or her current food. Gradually, increase the new food amount and decrease the current food amount at each feeding until you are feeding only the new food.
