The Equity Donates to Effingham Police K-9 Program

July 17, 2020 (Effingham, IL) The Equity announces its appreciation and support for area law enforcement and first responders by donating to the Effingham Police Department K-9 Program. The Equity was one of many companies and organizations that responded to the Effingham Police Department's request to help offset costs surrounding the purchase, training, and additional operational costs of acquiring Siren, a second K-9 dog for the unit.

The Equity support of the K-9 Program includes a donation of $500 to the Effingham Police Department, and a supply of dog food from the Equity Do-It Center for the duration of Siren's service as an active police dog for the Effingham Police Department.

The Equity is the largest independent agricultural cooperative in Illinois.  The organization offers a broad range of products to fulfill customers' needs, including Agronomy, Grain Services, Feed & Livestock, Energy, and a Hardware Do It Center.

The Equity market area covers 20,000+ square miles in Illinois with locations in Effingham, Stewardson, Lovington, Altamont, Marshall, Galton, Farina, Alma, West Liberty, Dieterich, Montrose, Strasburg, Pana, Robinson, Greenville, Horace, and St. Rose. The Equity recently expanded into Indiana with a location in Farmersburg, IN.

We will be operating in the former Home Center store located at 4 Do-It Dr, Altamont, Illinois that was owned and operated by the Mathias family for many years in the Altamont community. After many years in business, the Mathias family decided it was time to exit the retail business and felt it was a good transition to sell store inventory to The Equity who was already a member of the Do-It-Best franchise family and has a reputation for serving customers in our rural communities.

The Beverlin family and it’s employees have built this refined fuels delivery business on a commitment to service since 1976. The business is comprised of about 2,000,000 gallons of refined fuels annually.
